Match Scheduling

Qualifying Stage.

During the Qualifying Stage, each team will be grouped into sub-groups of 3-5 teams (depending on scale of competition). Within the groups, each team will compete with all other teams in a round-robin format. Each round-robin matchup will be Best of 2 (BO2) Competition (2-0: Win/Loss; 1-1: Draw). Each team that won will get 3 points, 1 point for draws and 0 points for a loss. The top 1-3 teams (again, depending on scale) that emerged from each group will advance to the Elimination Stage.

Elimination Stage.

During the Elimination Stage, the top seeded teams from each sub-group will be allocated to a single-elimination bracket based on random allocation.

Teams will be competing directly with each other on a Best of 1 (BO1) or Best of 3 (BO3) (depending on scale of competition) format, with the aim of performing better than the opponents. The Grand Finals will be in a Best of 5 (BO5) format. The winning team will proceed to the next round of the bracket, while the losing team will be eliminated.

  • (Actual bracket formats will be released nearer to tournament dates)
