Robotics Innovation Challenge (RIC) - 2022
Competitions
Introduction
In the Grand Arena (GA), robots from the participating teams will play against each other in a Sports Game, trying to score the most credits by participating in different sports, collecting the balls spread in the field and sending them to the opponent’s side. Introduction
Innovation Design Challenge (IDC) aims to challenge the level of creativity and hands-on ability of the participating teams. It requires participants to design and build a robot in approximately 4 months according to a predetermined theme each year. The finalists will present to a group of judges live in the venue, December 2022.
The theme of this year’s IDC is “Robotics for Teenager Health”. You are expected to design a robot that can directly or indirectly help teenagers become healthier. The robot can be a companion, an assistant or a tool to help teenagers keep healthy in any of the activity, or engage the teenagers to participate in any of the activity that is promoting health by making it more interesting. As long as you can explain why your robot is promoting teenage health, we will accept it.
Note: The robot is required to have at least one mechanical component that is movable and functional, so a mobile app or website is not acceptable.
